Michelle Chen
Research Associate II
Michelle received her B.S. in Biology with a minor in Business from the University of California, San Diego. She aspires to combine her love for science with her passion to help others in her career.
Shortly after graduating, she began working at Mapp Biopharmaceutical, a company that targets unmet global health and biodefense needs. She assisted in developing novel pharmaceuticals to treat rare infectious diseases such as Ebola and Marburg virus. While at Mapp, she worked with mammalian cells and developed a clonal selection platform for cell line development projects. She also performed many bioreactor studies to optimize conditions for large-scale production of antibodies.
Michelle is a big animal lover and in her free time she enjoys creating art, cooking, and staying active in her hometown of San Diego.
